Binders are substances used to solve the problem of poor strenght of unworked ceramic bodies, so that they can be manipulated during the production process without breakeage. Binders are necessary for the production of ceramics by means of isostatic presses.
There is a wide variety of binders used in traditional ceramics, but the most commonly used are organic binders, particularlu polyvinyl. Alcohol (PVA) is widely preferred for its good bond in capabilities, but is also has some negative trade offs, requires long and costly preparation, which ultimately increases production costs.
Our solution: CERAMBINDER, its designed to provide superior performance to PVA based binders and eliminates most of their negative trade off by simplifying process production. CERAMBINDER is a combination of inorganic and synthetic binder in tended to replace traditional PVA based binders.
CERAMBINDER sets a new optimum in the ceramic industry: it provides higher preformance by providing resistance to green ceramics but eliminates the need for an annoying and costly binder preparation. Also CERAMBINDER, reduces the cost of ceramic production by 12%, which will improve the profitability and competitiveness of the manufacturer, since
CERAMBINDER does not require prior preparation, also allows a more efficient and shorter inventory, management, faster and more flexible production processes. CERAMBINDER’s target customers are all ceramic segments that use spraydried granulated prowders that requier bindes in their production process: tableware, technical ceramics and refractories.
